Cleaning fly ash?

I replaced my draft inducer last weekend and instead of throwing the old one out I've decided to take it apart, clean it and keep it for parts. What I'm wondering is, what can i use to clean the ash off of the impeller and all of the other various parts? Could I soak it in some CLR then paint it?

I'm also going to see why the motor stopped and try to fix it.

vanwert stoker gear head auger

Evening folks,

I am looking for a vanwert stoker for a project. I saw a picture of an va13 with a feeder auger from the left side and a different unit with a feeder tube from the right side. Can a left auger feeder be modified to a right auger feeder. Are the right or left gearhead the same as for other vanwert stokers? Does anyone has a unit that feeds from the left side or a gearhead part?

Took advantage of the 47 degree temp and did a shut down and complete cleaning. Got rid of alot of fly ash. Back up and running!

Write lots , Join NRA . Be heard. From everything I am seeing and reading this is much worse than the 1994 ban. They are not stopping at so called assault rifles. They truly want it all. Look up Australia gun laws if you are not worried. Crime rates are sky high in a very short time.

As I'm still on the fence of running year round. (I want to shut down, wife wants me to keep it going.)
I'm thinking about those hot humid days last summer when I'd get into a cold shower and have to re light the boiler because I lost draft.
While farting around on the net, I was looking at some hvac controls and thought of this.
If I cut in a tee on the line that goes to my manometer and hook it up to a pressure switch then splice in the wireing to TT. I would set the switch to -.01 or -.0…

Does anybody know anything about this boiler?
It's really big!!
Gas and oil fired.
New gaskets.
10 sections.
Is it worth anything or should I just scrap it?
Would the bottom be open that I could put it on a base and put a 2.6 mill btu Fire Jet under it and heat a small town?

You either think in crazy or know what I'm talking about. Navy coffee it's called and no I was never in the navy I was in the Air Force.

One day a friend told me that his grandfather only used salt in his coffee and he shoved some in my coffee one late night at a diner after having a few beers at the local pub. To my surprise I loved it! It brought out the true flavor of the coffee. What had happened was the old navy ships used to get salt in their water supply and of course you make coffee…

How to gain more PSI and/or water output from a well?

I have an old hand pounded 2" well in the basement (its no longer used for the main water supply of the house), Is their any idea's or ways anyone can think of to try to increase its ability for the purposes of a lawn sprinkler system? I assume its original to the house (year built is 1961), it produces water fine now and i have an updated electric pump and holding tank hooked up to it (home depot stuff, but the best home depot had!). Id does not seem to push more then 2 or 3 of the PGP …
